Adams Select Board Ratifies Two New Hires, Flags Three Businesses Out of Compliance

ADAMS — January 7, 2026 — Adams Select Board ratifies two new hires and puts three businesses on notice for license non-compliance. The board voted unanimously at its January 7 meeting to ratify Beatrice Rosin as assistant town accountant at $51,023 annually, grade nine, step three, and Ryan Poulton as administrative assistant to the chief of police at $21.04 per hour, grade six, step two. A planned third ratification for a DPW mechanic was pulled after the candidate declined the offer; that position will be reposted. Staff reported that We Got the Juice, Pine Brook Pub, and Rainbow Shack have unresolved licensing issues past the January 1 deadline and cannot legally operate, with the Adams Police Department notified for enforcement. The board also received a first reading of a draft policy governing leftover donated funds from the town's 2020 suffrage centennial celebration, with a second reading required before any vote on adoption.
